2009 U.S. Open Champion Lucas Glover and world renowned golf landscape artist Linda Hartough teamed up to create a fundraising opportunity for the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation. This opportunity includes a printed remarque of Mr. Glover holding the U.S. Open trophy transposed onto Ms. Hartough's USGA commissioned print of the 17th hole of Bethpage State Park's Black Course. Ms. Hartough will re-create 276 of these prints commemorating Mr. Glover's winning score. The SCJGF has exclusive rights to auction these pieces off with the proceeds benefiting SC Junior Golf, a program of which Mr. Glover is a graduate.
The South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation's mission is to establish the funding necessary to continually create new opportunities for South Carolina's youth through education and recreation, as well as, maintaining current junior golf programs. The SCJGA was established in 1990 by community leaders with a love for the game and a commitment to passing on golf's heritage to the youth of South Carolina. The SCJGA is committed to meeting the needs of all young people in the state and providing playing opportunities to boys and girls that might not otherwise have the chance to experience golf and its many benefits.
